What do I get for winning?

When tastythreads tells you your design has won, you will be given a choice of how to be compensated.

You can have either:

$250 cash upon winning, or
10% of sales, including sales of reprints. (We'll give you $50 immediately.)

The choice

Tastythreads offers this choice for compensation to satisfy the various needs of the artists. Basically, if you think your design is the next "Flowers in the Attic," or if you think it's good enough to be reprinted at least once, you might choose the 10%. If you prefer cash now, you can choose that.

And, just so you know, with the current size of our print batches, 10% of a first run sellout would be approximately $350.

Why only $250? Your competitors offer more.

Being relatively new to the scene of collaborative design, we need to develop the audience and customer base in order to increase the reward for winning. The basic problem is that we are not rich.

The larger the community at tastythreads gets, the larger the compensation will become.
