i see you are using tinyMCE in the threads textarea but you forgot to quit the style of the old "resizer"

That resize slider is actually for the comment box itself. If you turn off "enable rich text" that resize slider remains so you can adjust the height of the comment box. You think it's too confusing to have it while "enable rich-text" is selected? Let me see if I can toggle that when enabling TinyMCE.
